Nkana FC was born from copper and community. Founded in 1935 as Rhokana United by workers at the Nkana copper mine in Wusakile township, the club has always been a symbol of Copperbelt pride — built by miners, for miners, and loved by all of Zambia.
Renamed the Red Devils in 1978 and adopting the name Nkana FC in 1990, Kalampa — meaning "the reds" in Bemba — became one of Africa's most feared club sides through the 1980s and early 1990s, winning nine league titles in eleven years and reaching the 1990 African Cup of Champions final.
Today, backed by Mopani Copper Mines and supported by one of Zambia's most passionate fan cultures — the Aba Red — Nkana FC continues to compete at the highest level of Zambian and African football.
